METHODOLOGY
We have developed a structured approach in 6 steps for large-scale investment projects such as the design of factories.
Step 1: Initial phase
Starting point is a basic analysis of products, markets and available resources. The profound industry-specific marketing know-how of SCHULER may help you with the acquisition and compilation of the required information, as well as with the development of an adequate product, production and distribution strategy.
Step 2: Preliminary study
The preliminary study outlines a masterplan in order to evaluate feasibility and profitability of the project. It includes the design of a block layout, the estimation of the required investment and operating costs, the evaluation of weaknesses, strengths, opportunities and threats (SWOT analysis) as well as the definition of a timeframe. Frequently, this stage will consider and compare a few alternative approaches. Our engineering experts will accomplish these tasks efficiently and professionally for you.
Step 3: Preliminary project
After releasing the project and selecting the preferred version, a detailed and executable project will be worked out. This includes a detailed layout, specification and listing of the required equipment, the personnel requirement as well as installation plans for compressed air, dust extraction and power supply. Based on these documents, binding quotations may be requested from adequate suppliers subsequently.
Step 4: Execution project
Different from the preliminary studies, the execution project constitutes the final and binding version of the factory.
Step 5: Implementation
We will assist you with a professional project management during the construction of the building, the delivery and installation of machines and plants, the installation of supply and disposal infrastructure and the training of your personnel.
Step 6: Run Off and Ramp Up
The continuation of the project management will be indispensable from the start of production to the "regular" operation. On request,we will also provide interim management to run the production for an interim period.
